Analysis of the current state and future trends of fuel cell propulsion in transportation development
Zero-emission hydrogen drive has been used in mass-produced vehicles for less than a decade. It is currently used in everything from bicycles to heavy wheeled and rail transport. Its wide, widespread use provides a real chance to decarbonize transport. The article analyzes the phenomenon of such dynamic drive development, while pointing out the challenges it faces, such as its durability, price, and refueling infrastructure. The author presents an analysis of the achievements to date in the field of fuel cell design and production technology. The conclusions of the analysis indicate further directions for the development of hydrogen-powered transport as a fuel and the ecosystem related to the refueling infrastructure.
