The unmanned aerial vehicle market is currently growing at a very fast pace. The forecast for 2022-2028 predicts an average annual increase in the value of unmanned aerial vehicle sales in the world of 21.6%. This is due to the fact that unmanned aerial vehicles are increasingly used in both civilian and military applications. The variety of requirements for UAVs contributes to the creation of various structures that differ in configuration and size. This entails different requirements for propulsion units. This paper will analyze in a multi-aspect manner the units used to propel civilian and military unmanned aerial vehicles.
