Problems diagnosing of marine piston engines at various operational loads

The load of the piston combustion engine is determined by: brake mean effective pressure, rotational speed, effective power, fuel adjustment, fuel setting, cylinder pressure rise rate, transient states, etc. The choice of the internal combustion engine load can be made by examining changes in time courses or spectral composition of parameters for individual loads, analysis of maximum signal values for individual loads, etc. Load selection, which should lead research, has been pursued through research. In these studies was the impact load on the value of diagnostic parameters in different areas. In many studies the author demonstrated that the load in the preliminary study can be used to reduce the initial diagnosis and the selection of the most useful symptoms. At the time of operation of the marine engines is difficult to obtain reproducible test conditions because it is dependent on the principles of motor control and power by receivers. Users avoid operation of engines at higher loads for fear of deterioration. The aim of the article is to develop diagnostic models for bringing different test conditions to the common representative and reliable diagnostic decision. Other parameters test conditions treated as interferences and sought ways to minimize it. During the construction of the diagnostic model, the following parameters of the test conditions were taken into account: working time, relative load, temperature of the cooling medium and the factor correcting the parameters to normal conditions according to ISO was estimated. The article presents the influence of the relative load of the engine on the course of diagnostic signals of the operating process parameters.
