The paper presents some aspects of shaping the sustainable development of the transport system. Describes the essence of scenario analysis together with the procedure to take such analyzes. An important step in the whole procedure for selecting the right scenario for the development of the transport system is to establish a system of valuation and indicators for evaluating the quality of the solution. For the evaluation of the selection variant the aggregate indicator for assessing development scenario of given transport system was proposed. Distribution of the traffic flow on transport network for several scenarios of development was presented by using the the simulation model EMITRANSYS.
