The paper describes an analysis of influence of application of VNT turbocharger on working parameters of the five-stroke spark-ignition engine. In the previous research of the engine, a charging system was composed of a turbocharger with a waste-gate valve. The application of the turbocharger with a variable-nozzle turbine system in the spark ignition engine was possible because of exhaust gas temperature is significantly reduced after additional expansion process in a separate cylinder in comparison to the classical four-stroke engine. The conducted analysis of obtained results indicated that implementation of the VNT turbocharger resulted in significantly improved performance and total efficiency of the five-stroke spark ignition engine.
